A new platform aimed at bringing together Sussex’s growing digital and tech community has launched this week (5.5.2026).
SussexDigital (https://sussex.digital) is a free, community-driven site that helps people discover local groups, events and coworking spaces across the county.
Already covering 13 towns and cities across Sussex, SussexDigital brings together 35 communities, 123 upcoming events and 44 coworking spaces — with more being added every week.
The project was created by Mark Ford, organiser of WorthingDigital, a long-running community that has hosted over 150 events since it began in 2008.
“I didn’t set out to build SussexDigital,” said Mark.
“It started with a simple frustration — I kept meeting people who’d say ‘I didn’t know this existed’ when they finally made it to an event.”
“There are loads of great communities across Sussex, but they’re often hard to find unless you already know where to look. SussexDigital is about making that whole ecosystem more visible.”
The platform lists:
- Local digital and tech communities
- Upcoming events from across Sussex
- Coworking spaces and places to work
It’s free for organisers and coworking operators to be listed, with the aim of supporting existing communities rather than competing with them.
“This isn’t about replacing Meetup or Eventbrite,” Mark added.
“It’s about helping people find their way into the community in the first place.”
Organisers, community leaders and coworking spaces are invited to get involved and add their listings.
