Businesses Encouraged to Join New Intergenerational Mentoring Programme

Businesses in Brighton & Hove are being encouraged to take part in a new mentoring initiative that will connect local professionals with young adults who are currently out of work.

Developed by Alice Banfield (aliceb@wildpurpose.org) and the team at Wild Purpose CIC, the Symbiosis Intergenerational Mentoring Programme will bring together professionals and young people for six guided conversations in nature over a three-month period, creating opportunities for shared learning, personal development and stronger community connections.

The programme aims to help young people build confidence and networks while offering mentors fresh perspectives, enhanced leadership skills and a meaningful way to contribute to their organisation’s social impact goals. Wild Purpose will manage participant matching, onboarding and evaluation, making it easy for businesses to get involved.

A spokesperson for the Wild Purpose said:

“Creating stronger links between local businesses and young people is essential to building an inclusive economy. This programme offers a simple but powerful opportunity for professionals to share their experience, learn from the next generation and make a positive difference in our community.”

Businesses interested in taking part or learning more can contact Alice Banfield at Wild Purpose CIC.
