New Report Sets Out Ambitious Vision for Brighton & Hove’s Visitor Economy

A new report published by Brighton & Hove City Council’s Visitor Economy Task & Finish Group has outlined a series of recommendations aimed at strengthening the city’s visitor economy and increasing overnight stays throughout the year.

The report explores opportunities to enhance Brighton & Hove’s appeal beyond the peak summer season, with a particular focus on developing the city’s winter and evening economy. Recommendations cover destination marketing and coordination, year-round events, transport connectivity, improved use of visitor data, support for hospitality businesses, and opportunities arising from the Sussex & Brighton Strategic Authority.

The findings highlight the importance of collaborative working across the public and private sectors to ensure Brighton & Hove remains a vibrant and competitive destination for visitors, residents and businesses alike.

The report will be considered by the Place Overview & Scrutiny Committee on 3 November. Subject to endorsement, its recommendations will then be referred to Cabinet for further consideration. At this stage, the recommendations have not yet been formally agreed.

The full report is now in the public domain and is available for anyone with an interest in the future growth and development of Brighton & Hove’s visitor economy.
