Cyber Essentials campaign
DSIT and the National Cyber Security Centre are launching the Cyber Essentials campaign to encourage SMEs to take action to improve their cyber security next week. It goes live on Mon 16 Feb and will run for 6 weeks until 31 March. The official announcement and press launch will be on Tues 17 Feb. Key campaign messages: No business is ‘too small’ to be a target for cyber criminals - 1 in 2 small businesses in the UK suffered a cyber attack or breach last year. Secure your business with Cyber Essentials, the Government-backed certification scheme which meets the UK’s minimum standard for cyber security. Cyber Essentials is highly effective: 92% fewer cyber insurance claims are made by organisations with Cyber Essentials certification in place, and certification is mandatory for many public and private sector contracts. Get started for free. Find out if your business is ready for Cyber Essentials with the Readiness Tool, download the certification assessment questions, or book 30 minutes free with a cyber advisor to discuss your path to certification.
