Businesses, innovators, founders and professionals with an interest in health, technology, data, wellbeing or community impact are being invited to attend the next One Health Tech Brighton meeting, following the success of a recent gathering of health technology innovators at The Walrus pub in Brighton.
One Health Tech is a global, volunteer-led community committed to making health innovation work for everyone. Its Brighton hub brings together people from business, healthcare, technology, research, investment and the wider community to share ideas, explore challenges and collaborate on practical solutions that can support better health outcomes.
The next meeting will offer businesses an opportunity to connect with healthtech specialists, entrepreneurs, advisors and community leaders in an informal setting. Attendees can expect open discussion on innovation, collaboration, patient-centred services, funding pathways, leadership, team development and the growth of new products and services in health and care.
Local monthly meetings are hosted by Rose Bundock, community leader of One Health Tech Brighton and founder of audience insights company Femsights. Recent guest speaker Mark Bailey brought extensive experience as a CEO, chair, non-executive director and advisor, with 30 years across life sciences and healthcare data. He has founded, scaled and sold businesses across genomics, MedTech and health services, and is a Venture Partner at Zinc, backing founders building healthcare and life science solutions.
Clive Bonny, Director at Strategic Management Partners and a previous NHS Innovation Award advisor, encouraged local organisations to get involved. “These meetings are valuable for any business interested in community health, innovation, social impact or growth in the health sector,” he said. “The discussions cover practical issues such as culture, team-building, patient-centred care, leadership development, intellectual property, funding and routes to market. One Health Tech is non-profit, volunteer-led and free to join.”
Businesses of all sizes are welcome, including start-ups, established companies, professional advisers, investors, employers, community organisations and service providers interested in the future of health innovation.
